The most effective thing a parent can do for a child's long-term financial health isn't talking about money.

It's giving children hands-on experience managing money alongside a trusted adult. Talking helps. Modeling helps. But experiential learning with a parent is what produces lasting financial confidence.

Mintshift Is Different

It isn't an app your child logs into while you do something else. It isn't a school curriculum with quizzes and grades. And it isn't a lecture series about budgeting that your child will forget by next Tuesday.

MintShift is an 11-module family course. Every module has a lesson for your child, an activity they complete, a real-world challenge they take on that week, and a family activity you do together. You also get a dedicated Parent Guide for every module — a two-page prep document written specifically for you, so you always know what your child just learned, why it matters, and exactly how to extend the conversation at home. Because long-term wealth-building isn’t created with one person.

Our process is simple and thoughtful.

Here's what happens each week:

Step 1 — Your child watches the lesson video Each module has a 10–14 minute lesson video. Your child can watch it independently first, or you can watch it together. Either works.

Step 2 — Your child completes the activity sheet Print the activity sheet before or after the video. It takes about 15–20 minutes. It's designed to be completed independently, though you're always welcome to sit alongside.

Step 3 — The real-life challenge begins Every module includes one specific, small, real-world action your child commits to taking that week. These are simple. They are not optional.

Step 4 — You do the family moment together Every module has one activity specifically designed for parent and child to do together — at the kitchen table, in the car, wherever works. Your Parent Guide tells you exactly what to do and what to listen for.

Step 5 — You read your Parent Guide Two pages. Under five minutes. Tells you what your child learned, why it matters, and gives you specific conversation prompts and coaching notes for the week.

Step 6 — Your child marks their badge sheet When the module is complete, your child colors in or marks their badge. The badge sheet lives somewhere visible — a wall, a fridge, a desk.

Step 7 — Next module arrives in your inbox next week One module per week, delivered by email. The course runs 11 weeks. There's no penalty for falling behind — the modules wait for you.
